Hey, Hey, Hey, It's team Cambodia!
Thank you for embarking on this journey with us. We are PBA's Mission team to Cambodia. This is our first blog ever!! Wanted to give you a little info about our trip and who exactly is going. The ministry we will be involved in will involve working with orphans who were either rescued from human trafficking, or were pulled off the streets before they could be snatched up by a human trafficker. We will be spending one-on-one time with the girls teaching Bible lessons, English lessons, and doing some manual labor around the orphanage. The girls at the bottom of this blog are the actual girls that we will be spending three weeks with. They took those pictures just for our team!!(This made us feel very special).
We will be working with an organization called Remember Nhu. Please check out the website, (www.remembernhu.org) Started in honor of a girl named Nhu(who we will get to meet), this orphanage tries to show that their bodies are not vessels of export, but temples of a Father who loves them.
We will continue adding on to the blog while we are in Florida, keeping you updated with prayer requests and random information about the trip. Each of the team members will be able to access this account and pour out their hearts on the page, so that you are not just reading a narrators point of view, but you will be able to hear each girls heart beat. Now due to the fact that we are going over to a foreign country, for the safety of the team and the girls of the orphanage, we can only refer to God/Jesus as "Father" on this blog. We would like to ask you also, if you are to leave any comments on this page, only refer to the Big Guy as Father. Thank you. (This blog will be deleted before we leave for the trip.)
We do not know the exact day of our leave and return yet, but I believe that we will be recieving our tickets soon. The estimated dates are May14-31.
So for this time being, please keep our team in your prayers and please pray for the openness of hearts between us and the girls of Remember Nhu.
Thank you so much.
We love you all!
Amber of Team Cambodia
And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, you did for me."
